Well, the cover is definitely cute and attractive. I must admit that is the reason why I picked this book up. However, the good things about this book end there. The writing seemed rather stilted to me. I felt like we were "told" things but the "whys" weren't explained well. I didn't feel any connection to the characters or story. The terms of endearment and dialogue had me rolling my eyes and cringing. I did like some of the romantic elements towards the end and I do see potential in this author. One particular character seemed intriguing enough where I'm curious about the next book but not sure if I'm ready to pick it up in the near future. I don't like giving low ratings but this just didn't do it for me.
