This book was very different from the first two books. Tatiana and Alexander have come a long way since The Bronze Horseman. After surviving WWII and escaping the Soviet Union to the U.S., it's only fitting to find out what happens to these two in America. I won't go into the details but I enjoyed this book very much. There were times when I was mad at Alexander and wanted to shake him but there were times I felt the same about Tatiana. In the end, their love for each other is undying regardless of how much craziness and time has passed since the day Alexander crossed the street for the young 16 year old girl eating ice cream. This was a nice ending to an incredible, epic love story.
