This series is one of the most intense Urban Fantasys that I've ever read. The characters are so extremely engaging where I seriously felt that they could be real. You can't help but to love these characters that Stacia Kane has created regardless of how effed up their inner struggles are. Plus, the action and story is down, dirty, and gritty. There are no rainbows & lollipops in Downside, dig? I just don't know how I'll survive another year before I can read more Chess & Terrible.
